Quorum Press is the system a conference or a journal is run on, from the call for papers to the certificates: submissions and peer review, then the programme, the book of abstracts, registration, badges, certificates and attendance, with accepted work published at a permanent address. Institutions, conferences and communities run their own, under their own brand.
No. We provide the software and the guidance; the conference or journal, its editorial standards, and its reputation belong to you. We do not confer prestige or lend our name to your work.
No. There are no article processing charges (APCs) and no paywalls. Published work is free to read and cite. The organizations that run conferences and journals pay for the platform.
Authors, reviewers, and readers never pay. Organizations can start free with the Quorum Press Community, or pay for a plan to run their own conference or journal. If a plan is out of reach, contact us about possible sponsorship.
Authors retain the rights to their work. Open-access publishing means readers may freely read and cite it under the license the conference or journal chooses. Your content remains yours, and you can export it.
Editors assign reviewers (with conflict-of-interest checks), reviewers submit structured scores and comments, authors revise across rounds, and editors record decisions, all in one place with a clear record at every step.
Yes. Every listed author can open the paper and follow the whole process. Contributors can suggest edits that are attributed to them, and corresponding authors accept or reject those suggestions and submit the paper.
Every published paper gets a permanent address, full citation metadata and an open PDF, which is what Google Scholar and the open-access indexes read. DOIs are registered under your organization's own prefix, with an agency such as Crossref: Quorum Press prepares a DOI for each work, writes the file the agency takes, and shows each DOI once it is registered. Your published work can also be kept on your own website, as a ready folder of pages, and each work here then links to its page there.
Yes. Every certificate carries its own number and a QR code. Scanning the code, or typing the number at quorumpress.org/check, opens a page that says whether the certificate is genuine and shows the certificate as it was issued: the name, the work, any award and the event. An employer or a committee needs no account to check. If the organizers take a certificate back, the same page says that no certificate stands under that number.
Everything from the call to the closing session: submissions and peer review, a rich public event page, a schedule and printable program, a book of abstracts, online sessions joined from the program through your own Zoom, Teams, or Meet link, registration and attendance (including check-in and printable name badges), and verifiable certificates of participation. Accepted work can be published open access at a permanent citable address.
Your account data and manuscripts are hosted on dedicated servers in the European Union, which has a strong data-protection regime. A few vetted sub-processors help run specific parts of the service (such as email and media storage) under contract. We share the specific list of sub-processors and hosting details with your institution on request.
When your institution runs a conference or journal, you are the data controller for your authors', reviewers', and participants' personal data, and we act as your processor, handling it only to run the service on your instructions. For the account you create with us, we are the controller. A written data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.
Yes. You can have your organization and its unpublished submissions, reviews, participant records, and other data permanently removed, and you can delete your personal account. The one exception is published papers, which stay part of the permanent scholarly record so citations do not break (see below).
Published open-access papers remain available at their permanent addresses so they stay citable, this is standard for the scholarly record. Where a published work must be withdrawn, it is retracted (clearly marked and kept for the record with a reason) rather than erased, and genuine errors can be corrected.
Our practices are designed to support compliance with the GDPR, Kenya's Data Protection Act, Nigeria's NDPA, South Africa's POPIA, and comparable regimes: clear controller/processor roles, EU hosting, data-subject rights, retention limits, and breach handling. No. We never sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only as needed to run the service (for example, with the editors and reviewers on your submission and a small set of contracted sub-processors) or where required by law.
