How it works

From the call for papers to the certificates, in one place.

Quorum Press brings authors, organizers, and readers together in one place. Authors submit and publish with no fees. Organizations run their own conferences and journals under their own brand.

Every step, with pictures

The guide shows each screen and what to do on it, and how to write a good abstract, poster or paper. No account needed.

From an open call to a published paper

Submitting is always free. No author charges, no paywalls. The guide for authors.

  1. Find an open call

Browse the conferences, journals and workshops that are taking submissions. Each call shows what it accepts, its themes and its dates. An organizer's link opens their call directly.

  2. Write it, or import it

Write in the built-in editor with equations, figures, tables and references, or import what you already have: Word, Markdown, or a LaTeX project from Overleaf. Submit a full paper, an abstract or a poster, with your co-authors.

  3. Get peer-reviewed

Reviewers read your work and the editors decide. You see the reviews with the decision, answer each reviewer, and revise on the same submission. One conversation with the editors stays with your work throughout.

  4. Be accepted, attend, be published

Download your letter of acceptance, confirm who attends and who presents, and record your registration payment if the conference has a fee. Accepted work appears in the book of abstracts and the programme, and is published free to read at an address you can cite.

For organizers

Run your conference or journal

Your own brand, your own peer review, published open access. See pricing, or read the guide for organizers.

  1. Set up and open your call

Create a conference, journal or workshop under your organization's name, with a public page for its theme, dates, tracks, committee and speakers. Choose what you accept, add your team, and share one link. An exhibition or an innovation showcase runs the same way: entries are sent in, reviewed and chosen, and those chosen are gathered in the programme.

  2. Review and decide

See every submission and its next step in one place. Assign reviewers, with a due date, from your own pool or from people who offered to review. Read the reviews side by side, decide, and write to the authors.

  3. Run the event

Check registration payments against your own records, with the fees paid to you directly. Build the programme from the accepted work, print name badges, check participants in, and issue verifiable certificates: each carries a number and a code that anybody can check.

  4. Publish and report

Release the book of abstracts on the web and as a PDF, let readers vote for an award, and publish accepted work open access. Summary reports for your committee come as a PDF or a spreadsheet. For DOIs under your own prefix, the DOIs and the file your agency takes are prepared for you, with a folder of pages for your own website; for keeping a journal running under your organization's name, we guide you through it.

For readers

Read and cite the research

Everything published here is open access. Browse papers, conference programmes and books of abstracts, free to read, each at a permanent address you can cite. Where an event asks its readers, you can vote for the work you found best.
