These terms govern your use of Quorum Press (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy & Data Protection notice.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the Service, and you are responsible for activity under your account.
You retain ownership of the manuscripts, reviews, and other content you submit. By publishing through a conference or journal on the Service, you grant the permissions needed to host, display, and distribute that content under the open-access license the conference or journal selects (for example, CC-BY). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to what you submit and that it does not infringe others’ rights. Open-access publication is intended to be permanent (see section 8).
You agree not to use the Service to:
Each conference or journal on the Service sets and applies its own editorial standards and makes its own decisions. The organization running a conference or journal is the controller of the personal data of its authors, reviewers, and participants; Quorum Press provides the tools and, where requested, guidance, and acts as a processor for that data. Quorum Press does not control editorial outcomes and is not the publisher of record.
Our handling of personal data, our roles as controller and processor, where data is hosted, retention, deletion, and your rights are set out in the Privacy & Data Protection notice, which forms part of these terms. Institutions that need a written data processing agreement can request one.
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may update, suspend, or modify features over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
Authors, reviewers, and readers are never charged. There is a free community plan, and organizations that run their own conferences and journals pay for a plan; the applicable terms and pricing are shown at Pricing, or agreed separately for larger institutions.
Fair use. Each plan is priced for a number of running conferences and journals and a number of submissions a year, stated at Pricing. The Service does not stop when a number is passed, and no author is turned away; an organization that has passed its plan’s number renews on the plan that fits it. Where a plan states no number, and for what no plan counts (reviewers, participants, people who register to attend, stored files and email sent through the Service), use is expected to be in keeping with running the conferences and journals the plan is for. Each is one conference, one journal or one event: several separate events are not to be run as one. Where use goes well beyond this, we will write to the organization and agree a price before anything is changed.
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can request an export of your content. You can also ask us to delete your account, or your organization and its unpublished data. A few things to know:
To the extent permitted by law, Quorum Press is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
